My Emotions Scale
How well are you managing your emotions? Different emotions can be easier or more challenging than others. The 'The Emotion Scale' resource provides an interactive way for people to explore different emotions and consider which they may be struggling with more than others.
What are the benefits of using this resource?
Two people can go through a similar experience, but their responses to it can be very different. This is because our experiences are unique and individual to us, meaning that we are the only ones who knows how we feel.
Acknowledging and scaling our emotions can be helpful as it allows us to gain better understanding and begin to process how and why we are feeling this way. It opens up opportunities to communicate and start conversations with others, so we aren't keeping our difficulties to ourselves and so that we can get the help and support we need.

If you are struggling with your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and/or difficult experiences, we recommend that you talk to one of the trusted people in your life, and seek professional help and support. Sharing our experiences can be empowering, as it can help us to take back control of our lives by allowing us to identify and manage our difficulties, and take positive and proactive steps to overcome these. However, we can sometimes find it hard to talk about our difficulties and how we feel; in such cases, writing these down can feel easier and less painful and can serve as a great method of communicating when words are too difficult to speak. If you are struggling to talk, we encourage you to use written word or this resource to share what has happened to you and how you are feeling.
