Some Things Are Out Of My Control
In life, we have control over some things that affect us, whilst other things we have no control over at all. The 'Some Things Are Out Of My Control' resource provides its users with the opportunity to explore what things are in and out of their control in their lives.
What are the benefits of using this resource?

There are many things in life that we can't control, whether its us or those around us becoming unwell or if its how other people think and behaviour. Sometimes life can feel like everything is out of control and that we have no say over what is going on in our lives; but is this really the case? Cognitive distortions are our thoughts that are not based on reality. Objectively acknowledging the difference between reality and our cognitive distortions can help us to understand what things are our responsibility and what things are out of our control, and can help us to stop leaning towards the tendency to always try to control everything that is going on around us. Whilst we can't always control what's going on around we can control how we react, and learning how to respond instead of reacting to this can help us feel calmer and more in control.
Its Good To Talk!!!
If you are struggling with your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and/or difficult experiences, we recommend that you talk to one of the trusted people in your life, and seek professional help and support. Sharing our experiences can be empowering, as it can help us to take back control of our lives by allowing us to identify and manage our difficulties, and take positive and proactive steps to overcome these. However, we can sometimes find it hard to talk about our difficulties and how we feel; in such cases, writing these down can feel easier and less painful and can serve as a great method of communicating when words are too difficult to speak. If you are struggling to talk, we encourage you to use written word or this resource to share what has happened to you and how you are feeling.
